Shozam - Issue - Does not run, fails to start (caused by antivirus)

hozam does not contain any virus, spyware or malware. Some antivirus programs do give "false positives" and identify Shozam's activation protection mechanism as a virus. When this happens, the antivirus software may not allow Shozam to run or may even quarantine or delete some Shozam files.

For more about false positives, please also see the following article:

To have Shozam run again, please take the following remedies in order, until the issue is resolved:

1. Change settings in your antivirus software to allow Shozam to run

2. Disable antivirus software

3. Uninstall Shozam and then install Shozam again

4. Uninstall antivirus software and then perform step #3 again. (*)

(*) Step #4 may be needed with some less reliable antivirus software, which hinders computer functionality more than protects. Here is one feedback we received from a customer:
"Turned out to be Threatfire AV. However suspending it left a service running that still stopped Shozam starting. I uninstalled Threatfire and Shozam starting working again.
That'll teach me for using free AV ;)"
