First Time Setup - QuickStart Guide

1. Initial Setup

Log into your account for access to your website admin area. Adjust general settings, your personal options and password. Get initial setup directions.

2. Theme Options

Take a look at the live web pages set up for you. Make a note of the things you will modify and go to the theme admin area to make changes:

  • Contact text - displayed in the upper-right of the website pages
  • Footer and copyright text - displayed at bottom of all pages
  • Intro slideshow - displayed no the home page
  • Call-to-action text and button - displayed under the slideshow on the home page
  • Other text - displayed on the home page

3. Theme Skin

The skin controls how your site pages look - colors, fonts, background graphics, etc. You can also build your own skins from scratch. To get started, preview pre-built skins, choose the one you like best and apply it to your site. Get directions to manage the theme skin.

4. Pages

Learn how to manage your website's pages. To get things started, follow steps to create a new Contact Us page and add some text, image and a contact form to that page. 5. Posts

Blog posts are managed similarly to regular website pages. Learn about the differences between them and create your own first post. Get direction to manage posts.

6. Navigation Menus

Navigation menus control the links displayed in various areas of the website. The primary menu displays in the top navigation bar. Learn how to add your new Contact Us page to the primary menu. Get directions to manage navigation menus.

7. Sidebars & Widgets

Pages can display full-width or show a sidebar on the left or right. Learn how to create sidebars and manage their content using widgets. Get directions to mange sidebars and widgets.
